3️⃣ Ways to Create Play in a Busy Day 🕞✨

Happy Thursday, Friends!

Maybe it’s just that time of year, or maybe it’s just us…but this time of year often feels SO full for our family.  Between dance class, swim lessons, sports practices, school events, family time, and play dates…it can feel hard to find time to *just play* with nothing else on the agenda. 🙃

Here are our best tips for creating time for more play in your day! 💫

3 ways to create play on a busy day:

  1. Remember that you don’t need any supplies to create play opportunities. 🙌My kids, ages 4 and 6, absolutely love playing simple games like I-Spy or 20 Questions or Guess That Tune when we’re driving in the car, out for a hike, or at the dinner table. No supplies needed!
  2. Carry one of our Sensory Kits designed for on-the-go play in your bag wherever you go! 👍We’ve had customers tell us they’ve played with a kit at doctor’s appointments, in the car, on a plane, at a restaurant, the list goes on and on.  Where is the most creative place you’ve used a Kit before?!
  3. Schedule time for play.⌚ Actually try putting it into your calendar in the same way you would a dentist visit, swimming lessons, or a family party.  Play is just as important and when we create intentional space for it, we’ve seen really cool things happen like more connection and creativity in our family units.

Let us know if you try any of this out and how it goes with your kiddos!  We are just SO passionate about play, we could talk about this topic alllll day! :

Have a wonderful weekend,
Abbie & Emily 💗
