As summer comes to an end, and  the excitement of a new academic year fills the air, we wanted to take a moment to wish you and your little ones a fantastic start to the school year. We know that this time can be filled with a mix of emotions for both children and parents alike.

The start of a new school year can bring a whirlwind of emotions—anticipation, nervousness, joy, and even a touch of sadness. It's a time of change, growth, and new beginnings for your little ones, and we understand that it can stir up a range of feelings within you as well.

We are here to remind you that it's okay to feel all the feelings. Your emotions are valid, and they reflect the deep love and care you have for your child's well-being.

As you navigate this back-to-school season, we invite you to practice self-compassion and give yourself permission to embrace whatever emotions arise. Remember, transitions take time, and it's perfectly normal for both you and your child to experience a range of emotions as you settle into new routines.

Here are a few affirmations we want to share with you:

1. You are doing an amazing job as a parent, supporting your child through this transition.

2. It's okay to feel a mix of emotions. Embrace them, process them, and give yourself grace.

3. Your love and presence are the greatest gifts you can give your child as they navigate the school year.

4. You are not alone on this journey. Reach out for support when you need it, and lean on your community for guidance and encouragement.

At Present Not Perfect, we are here to provide resources to support you and your family's emotional well-being throughout the school year. Together, we can navigate the ups and downs, celebrate the milestones, and create a nurturing environment where your child can thrive.

As your trusted companions on this parenting journey, we are here with guidance on supporting your child through transitions with the power of play, and important reminders that you're doing an incredible job.

Wishing you and your little ones a smooth and joyful start to the school year. May this new chapter be filled with growth, resilience, and cherished memories.
