Feelings Don't Need to Be Fixed!
Do you ever just wish you could pack up all the hard feelings in a box and ship them somewhere else so that you no longer have to deal with them?? I know I do, and I know our kids do too.
Why is this though?? I think it's because more often than not, FEELING our feelings can be so much harder than just fixing and invalidating them. Sitting in discomfort and hurt is complex and painful, so we resort to getting rid of these feelings instead of facing them. But here's your reminder that feelings are supposed to be FELT, not:
