Check out some new books to add to your collection to introduce the topic of Juneteenth to your kids👆🏼 A couple things to keep in mind:

1️⃣ Educating your kids on topics like slavery, discrimination, what the BIPOC community goes through, etc. should NOT just take place in June. In order to effectively and intentionally help your kids understand these things, this education should be ongoing and regular🙌🏼
2️⃣ These topics can bring up BIG feelings in young children, and often they won't know what to do with these feelings. Give your kids the space to ask questions, process information, and explore what they're feeling.
3️⃣ If you're able to, consider purchasing these books from local and Black-owned businesses.❤️

And as a reminder... anti-racist work starts with listening to and uplifting Black voices (not just in June, but every month)!
